Community Rules and Acceptable Use (A-03)

Rules for comments, cohort groups, Telegram communities and live sessions

Version 1.1 · Effective 28 October 2026 · Audience: Learners, mentors, ambassadors (public)

Community Rules

Edly communities (lesson comments, cohort chats, Telegram groups, live Q&A, contests) exist to help people learn. By taking part you agree to these rules and the Terms of Use.

1. Be respectful

1.1No insults, harassment, bullying, threats, discrimination or hate on grounds of ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, region, language, age or appearance.

1.2Keep discussions on topic. Disagree with ideas, not people.

2. Protect safety and privacy

2.1Do not share your own or others' phone numbers, home address, documents, passwords, card details or private photos.

2.2Do not ask a minor for personal contact details or to move to another app. Adults must not contact minors privately. Mentors may reply to learners only within Edly channels.

2.3Do not record or screenshot live sessions or post other people's content without permission.

3. Respect the law and others' work

3.1No illegal content, extremist or terrorist material, pornography, gambling promotion, pyramid or "get rich quick" schemes, weapons, drugs, or content that violates Uzbek law.

3.2No copyright infringement: share only what you created or have the right to share. Credit sources. Do not paste paid Course content into any group, comment or chat (see 3.4).

3.3No spam, unauthorised advertising or off-platform sales. Affiliate or ambassador promotion must follow the Referral Programme Terms and disclose the relationship.

3.4Keep Course content private. Never post or share paid Course content (lessons, videos, quizzes and answers, assignments, files, live-session recordings) or non-public information in Course comments or reviews, cohort chats, Telegram or other groups, social networks, AI services or any other place, inside or outside Edly. Course comments can be read by anyone. Say in your own words what you learned and what you think of the Course, and ask questions without copying the material (Terms of Use, clause 5.4).

4. Honesty and integrity

4.1Do not cheat in quizzes, exams or contests, impersonate others, or pass off AI output or others' work as your own where a task requires your own work.

4.2Reviews must be honest. No paid, fake or coerced reviews.

4.3Contest entries (for example "AI Film of the Month", "BA case challenge") remain the entrant's work. Winners may be featured only with written consent (a Parent's for under-18s).

5. AI-generated content

Label AI-generated work in assignments and contests where asked. Do not create or share deepfakes of real people without their consent, nor sexual, violent or deceptive AI content. Do not use real people's faces or voices in AI films without a written release.

6. Moderation and enforcement

6.1Moderators may remove content, mute or remove members, and report unlawful content to authorities.

6.2Steps (depending on seriousness): reminder, content removal, temporary mute, suspension of community access, account suspension or closure. Immediate action is taken for threats, child-safety risk, illegal content, doxxing or piracy.

6.3Appeals: write to info@edly.uz within 14 days; a different team member reviews and replies within 10 working days.

6.4Reports: write to info@edly.uz; reports may be confidential.

7. Telegram and external groups

Group admins must follow these rules. Edly is not responsible for what members say in groups it does not control. Groups with minors must be moderated by at least two Edly-approved moderators and must not include private direct messaging to minors from staff or mentors.
